Purpose and eligibility
A child’s school education should not automatically be treated as university-level study for visa purposes. The actual school issues the acceptance evidence. For a family move, parents’ status, supervision and consent require separate checks; enrolment does not replace a visa decision.
Documents to prepare
This preparation checklist is indicative. Final requirements depend on nationality, status and application location; follow the competent authority’s instructions.
- Passport and evidence of lawful residence in the country where you apply.
- Application form, photograph and payment confirmations required by the receiving authority.
- Evidence of the purpose of travel, funding, accommodation and insurance required for your procedure.
- Current school confirmation naming the pupil and study period; fee information if tuition is paid.
- Birth certificate, parents’ documents and consents required by the consulate.
- Evidence of maintenance, accommodation and the adult responsible for the child in Poland.

The institution that has genuinely accepted the child. An intermediary cannot replace the school’s enrolment decision.
Does the accompanying parent need a separate basis?
Yes. The child’s education does not automatically give the parent a visa or work rights. The parent’s circumstances are assessed separately.
