Czech Employee Card: Zaměstnanecká karta
An Employee Card is a long-term residence permit for employment in Czechia lasting more than three months. Its maximum validity is two years and may be limited by the contract or other conditions.

Frequently asked questions
How long does an Employee Card application take?
The official processing period is usually 60 days, or 90 in complex cases. Suspended proceedings and appointment waits can make the overall process longer.
Can I start work immediately after applying?
Applying alone does not create that right. The standard procedure requires approval and written confirmation from the Ministry of the Interior; other arrangements have separate conditions.
