Employment requires both an appropriate basis for staying and permission to perform the particular job. An employer’s work permit or an applicable exemption must be checked separately. Simplified procedures depend on nationality: a document suitable for one applicant may not suit another.

Frequently asked questions
Is a work visa always issued for one year?
No. One year is the maximum validity of a D visa, not a promised outcome. The decision depends on the grounds, documents and consular assessment.
Can I work with an invitation alone?
The label “invitation” is insufficient. Check the document’s legal type and whether it is compatible with your basis of stay.
